Why am I back at Blog Talk Radio?
My friends:
After some time away from BTR, I have returned.
Why?
BTR has always been my true podcast home. Sure I was laid off of my job at BTR and continued to do my podcast for a time at BTR. But I thought to try other platforms. I tried one that while yes my podcast or vlog was popular, eventually they wanted to charge after a single week of a single vlog being viewable hardly a social media platform.
Another vlog site did not last two months of being live in beta before it was sold to Yahoo and shutdown. YouTube, while a great site, was missing a few of the elements that I liked. A chat room and easy links to Twitter, Facebook and etc.
BTR is where I cut my teeth in social media. It is also where I started and led the campaign to save JERICHO.
Have always been a fan of BTR and its owners Alan Levy and Bob Charish. Audio is a great art form. Radio has always been the most intimate of all media. People listen to the words and their imaginations are triggered by the exercise of listening to those words via an audio podcast.
So I have returned to Blog Talk Radio. I am happy that Alan Levy has been generous enough to keep my efforts on the site. And with my return, its does show to me that yes you can go home again.

Under The Dome Preview and my time in Wilmington at the premiere screening
It was an honor to have CBS bring me in to Wilmington, North Carolina for the premiere screening of THE hit series of the summer, Under The Dome.
Wilmington, is a beautiful town with a lot of history and culture. The people of Wilmington are among the friendliest people I have ever encountered. Quite a few remembered what I did for JERICHO and welcomed me to their town of Wilmington.
The staff at The Wilmingtonian Hotel were very helpful and attentive as well.
Tuesday night we met Alexander Koch who plays Junior on Under The Dome, great guy and friendly. He made us both feel comfortable. Alex will be a big star in Hollywood.
Wednesday, we went on location to see filming of scenes between Mike Vogel's Barbie character and Rachelle Lefevre's Julia character at an unassuming house. Every time I have visited a location shoot, I am awe struck at how they make it work. The house is someone's real house. The production staff, covered pictures and windows etc. Rachelle and Mike were very nice to myself and Kasandria. I loved watching the video room, where you can see the scene unfold. We were there for the filming of scenes for episode 10. Peter Galloway, the writer of this episode was very welcoming to us into his world. Everyone we met on location, was very nice to us.
From there we went to the studio, we were given a tour of the sets. The sets are amazing in detail. The Sweetbriar Rose Café set, looks like a café anywhere, with a working stove inside as well. The booths and the small things around the café, all spoke to the detail they went to in order to make it as real as possible.
From there we saw, the Sheriff's office and jail cells as well. Then on to an underground bomb shelter set, cold and rustic set that was very cool to see as well. Onwards to Big Jim's bedroom, the bed and colors all spoke to a man of great power in Chester's Mill. The set I liked the most was for the radio station in Chester's Mill. The booth with the old dials and the cassettes used for music and commercials, was so great in its detail. Record album covers in shelves around the radio studio. Guitars on chairs next to the broadcast table, all added a great touch.
We also visited Wardrobe, all the clothes and the detail into each character's tastes. Amazing to see basically a clothing store in the middle of a studio.
Thursday, was the screening premiere. I had gone to the Thalian Hall earlier in the day on a walk and saw the place being prepped. At the premiere, we witnessed the gauntlet of media on the red carpet that talked to the stars and producers of Under The Dome. Stephen King garnered a lot of interest from the media. Prior to the premiere, the Mayor of Wilmington, gave Stephen King the key to Wilmington. And declared Monday June 24 as Dome Day in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Met Stephen King and so many others with Under The Dome.
The premiere was great. The opening few minutes, took my breath away. It literally grabs you from the opening scene and does not let you go until the episode ended. A car chase, truck crash, Dome crashing down, power grab, romance gone bad, murder, suspicious activity and farm animals.
The premiere has it all.
all.

My picks for the new TV season and thoughts about JERICHO
The new TV series that I will be watching are: Revolution, Last Resort, Vegas, Chicago Fire, Do No Harm and 666 Park Avenue.
Must see mid season series on ABC will be Zero Hour and The Following on FOX.
I think those series will be a solid investment of my time as new series this fall..
Added Zero Hour, because if a new fall series on ABC fails, I am sure they will usher in Zero Hour earlier.
Also towards the end of the year, I look forward to House of Cars on NetFlix..
All the new series that I mentioned about I feel offer a great mix of TV series that I like.
About JERICHO, I am hoping that if Revolution opens big on NBC, that the reaction to that will be for CBS and NetFlix to produce new episodes.
Something big needs to happen to nudge CBS and NetFlix together..

The post apocalyptic genre for TV has never been hotter. The Walking Dead is doing great and promises a huge season three.
Revolution on NBC in the fall, I think will be a huge success.. Zero Hour on ABC is more a conspiracy series, or pre apocalyptic. I think that will be a solid series.
Last Resort about a nuclear submarine..that seeks refuge at a NATO outpost.
The sleeping giant is JERICHO. The series was before its time. NetFlix was reported to be in talks with CBS about producing new episodes for NetFlix..The talks have reportedly cooled off, with fingers allegedly pointed towards CBS. I think CBS and NetFlix should hammer out a deal and get into this genre now.
Why cant CBS work with NetFlix and produce new episodes to air on NetFlix and give CBS a window to air the new episodes in a summer season? Or even via CBS.com? JERICHO is still very popular overseas.
Do you think there is still life left in JERICHO? Should NetFlix stay in the talks with CBS? Do you think NetFlix with the Junction production house, come up with another series along the same lines?
If we cant have JERICHO back would you support Back coming back via NetFlix?
Here is the pilot for BACK which never aired..tell me what you think.
